Answer no all you need to do is go to steam or if you get a digital code for xbox into xbox app and put in the code just choose what version you want i bought a digital copy from this website and all i did was put in the xbox code in the pc app p.s. probably buying the xbox digital code from somewhere or on steam is a better idea than getting game pass its cheaper if you think about it.
