Chromebooks cannot 'run' (or load) any traditional software, BUT you can easily work with all MS Office documents. There are several ways: You can use Google Docs or you can simply goto Office.com on the web and sign in with your free MS account. The free online version of MS Office certainly has some limitations but would probably suffice for 90% of the population.

You can easily open office files, and save them to your included 100 GB free cloud storage for later viewing/sharing/editing/printing from any smart device. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I really doubt it. This is a Google product and it has Google apps conducive for business purposes like "Google docs." I believe that there are plenty of other Google apps/extensions that you can get to do most of the things you are talking about, but this machine is not designed to be a full-blown Windows computer. In my opinion, this is a "blazing fast" internet machine with all kinds of features designed for the "guy on the go." I'm no longer in business so I haven't explored the many features these devices now have on them. Picture it as a really versatile laptop-sized Android smartphone with a true keyboard. The more you use it the more you realize how versatile it is.
