The FreedomPop service requires that you use their sim and app for voice and text. Most watches today are using esim, so no this service won't work. I don't think FreedomPop provided esim service. The only currently offered 4G smartwatch that I know of that will work are those running 'full Android'. These watches allow you to not only use the sim card provided but also you can download the FreedomPop app from the Play Store.

If it has a physical slot to insert the SIM into and the watch allows for custom APN settings, then it can be used for data. Most newer and popular smart watches (Apple Watch, Samsung gear) can’t as they have integrated SIMs or eSIMs so those won’t be compatible. Also, this requires an app to make calls or texts, so that app would also need to be supported by the watch itself. This makes the product being a carrier voice replacement not as good as a option as other prepaids.
