“do you need an electrical outlet under the sink or can it be hard wired......confused on wording of it as it says power cord included and I do not have a junction box to plug it in as my current one is hard wired...this may cost me more in the end if so”

It comes with with a plug for a pre wired outlet. But I cut mine off and was able to wire it in no problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you do need to have an outlet. The installer can convert your hard wire to a box very easily (mine had to for both this and my dishwasher). Yes, it will cost you more, but it will bring your house up to current code at the same time.
