Actually, I did read the manual, in fact, more than once. I will explain again that I want to defrost 14 ounces by weight. The display only allows me to enter two numbers. The first number shows the pound symbol so pressing 14 shows as 1 pound 4 ounces. If I try to press 014, as in 0 pounds 14 ounces, it ends up as 4 pounds 1 ounce because the 4 jumps to the first place. There is no option for me to use a decimal point to indicate that I only want ounces. It looks to me like Frigidaire really dropped the ball when it comes to the defrost by weight option. My old microwave was 21 years old and I was able to use any combination of weight to automatically defrost, so it's not like it is new technology to expect this one to operate the same way. I am really unhappy about this and sorry I purchased this microwave.
