“Does this unit need supports on the part that is outside the widow?”

• I bought this AC, my son bought the same one for his house, I bought the support bracket, he did not. So it is not really necessary. My son cut a board to put on window frame so window could not be opened.,he did not screw AC to window I did. I have peace of mind with my installation.
