The multiple settings make it highly versatile, it does cool down a room rather quickly. I wish the fan had a quiet setting or would engage a quiet setting when sleep mode is on.The remote is a nice touch and the unit is extremely energy efficient compared to others.

WINDOW UNIT FAILD AFTER JUST one and a half summers. Had a 2 year Geek Squad protection plan and it failed a few days after the 2 year extended protection. What a waste.

Great AC. Has done us well and keeps about 1000sq pretty cool. Nice and light weight and easy to install by myself. The remote works well and helps to turn it off when it hits temp. Because of the larger area it is cooling it would never turn off, but we put the remote nearby and it will turn off...

I purchased this unit for our bedroom--it's about four feet from the bed. However, it's pretty quiet on the low fan speed setting. The remote is great. It measures the room temperature, and then signals to the AC when to cycle on and off. Using the Econ setting, with the low fan speed overnight, keeps the room pleasant. You do need to set the temperature a couple of degrees cooler when it's on the Econ mode. This setting seems to allow the room temperature to go up 2 degrees higher than what the AC unit is set at, compared to the temperature registering on the remote. It was also a very easy installation--and I have zero mechanical aptitude.

It's a great air conditioner that cools down the room instantly… saves money with the electric bill for it's quick cool down. Very east to install, which was surprising since I've never installed on before. Remote control makes it a plus for the unit… Sophisticated and good looking unit as well… Already have recommended it to a friend….

I needed an air conditioner for our livingroom, and this was on sale. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up & install as well as use. The unit wasted no time cooling off the livingroom and the adjacent diningroom. I have another AC (5,000btu) unit in our bedroom and while it cools off the room well, it's not as quiet as the Frigidaire. Next year we will probably junk the bedroom AC for a new Frigidaire.

The unit was very easy to install, and easy to operate. Controls are straight forward and I love the remote control!

Love that it cools down my whole apartment and love that the remote shows the current in room temperature.

Got this unit for our master bedroom to sleep comfortably at night. I wouldn't say the unit is so loud that you couldn't fall asleep. However, if you wanted to watch tv then you'd have to turn the volume up higher than usual. It is not loud. Easy to install and puts out cold air.

This AC does a good job chilling the room. (about 400 sq. ft) The reason for the lower rating was that the first one I bought was defective and would not cool after I spent hours to install it. Also the noise is a little louder than I expected. But at least it does the job.

Keeps my apartment cool quietly, uses little energy. My electric bill was incredibly low after a month of using this unit. Remote control is nice too. Can be set on cool, energy efficient or just fan.

We purchased this 12000 BTU unit for our kitchen area which is open to the living room area. It is sufficient to cool the immediate area and is able to keep the humidity levels low. Also the noise level is sufficiently low that the TV volume from the living room area does not need to be blasted, So far so good,,,,,,,, . We hope this will last us a few years unlike a previous Haiar unit which failed within 2 years

This product was damaged when I opened the box. The aluminum fins on back were bent to heck. Didn't have time to exchange it as there was not many around in the best buy stores and I had the install guys here. My advice is open it in the store and check it. Cools and works great, but the plastic makes a cracking noise after about 2 weeks of using it when it's used. This is due to the the cooling of the plastic I'm guessing.. Called Frigidaire and their brilliant tech support said unplug it and plug it back in. I did it even though I knew it would do nothing. It did nothing. I may call them back now to send someone to check it out. Don't really want to change it now as it is fully installed in the window. A great unit overall though.

Bought this as a replacement in the middle of summer. Surprisingly this unit was smaller than my old AC which had same BTU. Quiet, efficient and pretty powerful. Turns 2 bedroom apartment into a freezer

This sat unopened from 5/2017 until last month so I gave this to my sister to put in her Cape Cod house. It seems to cool the dining room and kitchen and part of the living room since it's an open floor plan. It always seems comfortable when walking in her house. I gave this to her because she had purchased 4 - TCL 5000 btu air conditioners from Shop Rite for about $127. each and had to return them because after installing them they each smelled like rotting fish. This Frigidaire blew clean air. It is a bit noisy, but I don't think I've ever come across an a/c that was quiet.

This unit has all the basic features you need plus the clean air setting. The remote control displays the room temperature. The AC does a great job of cooling off the room quickly and keeping the room cool. I do wish the unit had a built in handle on the top. My older AC had this and made installing it in the window easier.

We purchased this air conditioner to replace a broken one. We installed it for the summer in our master bedroom window above our bed. It does a good job of keeping our bedroom cool. However, it is definitely louder than we thought it would be. It is not louder than the one we replaced, but not quieter either. Also, when the compressor kicks on, it actually vibrates the wall to the point I ended up taking a mirror down to keep it from rattling. Since we like to have "white noise" when we sleep, the sound hasn't been a problem. The vibration and rattling were more of a problem for us.

Love it for my living room is not noisy like other ac I've used in the past and cools the room fast on low speed and the remote is easy to use

Had an 8K AC unit that had seen better days. Replaced it with this one and it works great! Was just as easy to install as the 8K unit. Only about 10lbs heavier. Works so much better than my prior unit. Cooled the house down in a matter of hours. The other unit took all day. Kept even the furthermost part of the house cooled to 77 degreees, when the unit was set at 68. The other unit was lucky to get into the low 80s. Remote works great and is super convenient to use, as the unit sits behind my washer and isn't easy to get to.

I have a 1 bedroom in NYC, so this unit is a lifesaver. I find that it cools down the entire apartment relatively fast and its easy to use with the remote. It is a bit loud, but I think that's largely unavoidable with window AC units.
