• Hi, Jessie! The filter included in this model should just be regularly cleaned and re-installed. It should only need to be replaced if broken! ~Ashton

• This AC unit has a build in filter. It alerts you when it should be cleaned. It’s a plastic material- so a rinse and a wipe usually do the trick and you are good to go. No additional filter needs to be purchased.
