“What is the actual minimum window opening size? Hi there, I am very interested in buying this ac unit. However I am seeing conflicting info on the width. The specifications on the website (unit width: 22 5/8 in) indicate it would fit in my window opening ( window max: 25 9/16 in.), but the box in the store, and summary info on the website, indicate minimum window opening of 26.5 inches. Which is it? My concern is that the smaller measurement listed on the specifications may not be inclusive of the "sleeve" the unit needs to slide into. The measurements they give on the website are correct, however, the 22 5/8 in is the unit itself and the 25 9/16 is with the window fins on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No sleeve to slide into, it will fit a window with a min of 22 2/8 in. My window was 24 in. wide and no problem. I used AC insulation foam packaging to insulate around the gap.
