The air conditioner does what I intended it to do. It is able to cool about 3 rooms nicely, although the 1 room it is in gets the chilliest. The only problem I had with it, is it was difficult to install. It comes all put together and you have to pull it completely apart to install. It is pretty heavy, so it took 2 of us to get it in the right position to slide in the surrounding case. The instructions are not very clear on the installation either. But it was worth the money.

So far, my new Frigidaire 15,100 BTU unit has been working like a charm in my pre-war apartment building. My dining room and living room are adjacent to each other, but only my dining room has the outlet for an AC unit (this unit appears to be biggest you can get before having to change electrical outlet size). Both rooms get cooled down in minutes. Which is remarkable, as I'm on the top floor and it gets very hot in the summertime. Installation was made much easier with the supplied legs for the unit. Pre-war apartment building has masonry, so support bracket isn't an option. The legs allow for the unit to partially rest on the ledge outside my window. As for the instructions, good luck with those. Not particularly easy to read and all the nuts, bolts, screws, etc are of similar size and in the same package.

Air conditioner works great. It's our only AC for about 1,100 square feet (even though the package recommends 850) and haven't had any issues. Though I haven't been able to test it on a day above 90 yet, I don't foresee any issues. Just a warning, the instructions are beyond awful. At one point the directions said to use screws, but failed to specify which screws. It comes with like 6 types of screws! Like the first few steps mention which screws, what length, etc. Then step 3 says, "use screws." I think it took 5 minutes to decipher which ones I was supposed to use. I think I would have installed this AC faster winging it and never reading the instructions.

I was thinking this unit was going to be a little much for our 1,000 square foot duplex. But it ends up cooling the whole place with ease, plus is surprisingly quiet. Drastically lowered our energy bill compared from our old unit we had. And very easy to install.

We are very satisfied with this air conditioner, in fact, this is our second one! It does a great job cooling and is very quiet! We have definitely noticed a lower electric bill since replacing our old window air conditioners.

The unit does require assembly which can be quite annoying since the instructions are poor. Also, the economy feature kicks in unexpectedly at times (which cycles the unit on and off) but all-in-all, satisfied with my purchase.

With a high cathedral ceiling in the bedroom this AC is the best. You need a very strong person to lift this thing as it is VERY large. The size difference between a 12000 BTU and 15000 BTU is huge. Putting the frame together, before installing, was confusing. Better images (larger) are needed in the installation manual. As long as you have someone that has good eye sight (to read tiny type and images), strong and with a brain, you're good to go.

Love the product and how it cools my space. The only thing I wasn't happy about after I researched everything was I thought the model I purchase included the built in thermostat with the remote which is a feature I had no issues paying for so the unit is only running when it calls after the temperature raises above the set point. Unfortunately that remote didn't come with the model I purchased and after taking all the time to complete the assembly to set it up I wasn't going to return it to get the correct model I thought I purchased.

I have a living room with inlet into the dinning room, plus a stair case. Cool the whole lower level of the house. Installation is done in two parts, remove the AC from the housing case, then secure the housing case to outside of the window, them insert the AC into the housing case. This is a safer method of installing a window units. Set you prefer temp unit will go On/OFF during the day using very little power. 4 Star

Cools the living/dining room efficiently. Was a little surprised with the "test turn ons" which stayed on for a few seconds only. Thought the AC was dysfunctional. Only after reading the manual, realized that it "tests" the air periodically with the fan only, and then when needed, turns on the compressor. Not quite as quiet as some have rated, but quieter than most. Probably needs more insulation around the accordion side panels, which would also decrease street noise.

The installation process was a real project! You have to take the unit apart and then piece it back together! It was extremely frustrating, but nothing compared to the 100 degree air outside without air conditioning. Once the unit was set up, it quickly cooled our large living room/ kitchen and dining room down. We would purchase this unit again even knowing the set up was a complete nightmare.

I have ran this A/C for two separate heat waves where I ran for two straight weeks at a time. So far it has done a great job. Quiet for its size. Cooling an area of 800 square feet with the help of a 5000 BTU unit. I think this unit could cool 800 square feet in a open floor plan. But if you have hallways and walls between rooms it could cool about 600 square feet and you probably would need a floor fan to move the cool air into other rooms. I would buy again.

This AC is awesome! We could not be happier! During the summer and fall, we can and preserve ALOT, and it never fails, the kitchen will heat up to 100 degrees, it feels like. That is the reason we bought this AC to counteract that. Well, we have only good things to say about this product. It is a little heavy, but we managed and we are not the youngest people. I would recommend it and say you will not go wrong!

This ac runs great. It has a quiet smooth operation. Plus energy saver mode. What really cool about this ac is the remote it comes with. So convenient with a touch of a button to start it up. Keeps my whole living room and dining room cold at the same time. The Eco mode knows when room is cold enough then it shut down saving on energy and freon. Very good product. Gotta get another small one for the bedroom. Same brand

I have a flat roof, so I bought this to help cool down my 100+ degree attic. It is HEAVY, over 100 pounds, so you will need to have someone help you install this. However, this cools like a champ! In just a few minutes, the attic is noticeably cooler and down to low 70s in no time.

I have 2 bedroom apartment about 1200 sq. feet and feel like it can cool up the whole place almost. great AC!! Very impressed. Bought this for my living room as I have one in my bedroom.setting up was a little complicated since you have to remove the inside from the case so it took awhile.

i live in a trailer where everything is open and it cools it all no problem and its quiet sometimes we actually have to cut it down or off this is a great ac and ive had it all summer and even when the weather was over 100 degrees it had no problem keeping us cool

I have an older model Frigidaire of the same size my new one runs much more quietly and seemingly more efficient I find that it is a good product for the priceThe installation was a little cumbersome I would like to see better mounting brackets but all in all it works very well

This AC unit puts out lots of nice cool air and does id without a lot of noise when walking in the house you would not know it was running. We are cooling 750 sq ft and it does it with no effort.

This ac unit worked out really well. It cools fast and for the price its unbeatable. Not as quiet as central air and depending on where you put it, can be an eyesore. That may be the only negative but if you're watching the wallet and still want the same results then this is a great way to go.
