You definitely need support brackets unless you have a very clever handy man that knows how to fix this SOLID to the window. Mine did. Awesome AC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've Always had ac's that go from box to window with min assemble. This is not one. You have to take the ac unit itself out of the cabinet to take off packing material and to install tracks. This is not an easy task seeing that it weighs a million pounds. Def need two people. Then you put just the cabinet in window, secure it, then slide ac unit in cab, again two people. I personally didn't need support brackets, had them but it made it worse. It comes with a couple small brackets that work well. After install, absolutely best air conditioner I've ever owned. Hope this helps.
