Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the 15,100 BTU Window Air Conditioner's cooling power, ease of installation, and remote control features. Many appreciate its effective cooling performance and quiet operation for its size, although some find it heavy. The unit's energy efficiency and ease of use are also frequently praised. However, the significant weight of the air conditioner is a recurring concern for some customers.

I couldn't be happier with our purchase of this 15,1000 btu air conditioner. We have it in a room that has a vaulted ceiling (8'-12') & open concept. 14x27 area plus a 10x10 kitchen. Love the remote control. Love the clean air mode. Would highly recommend! Always loved Frigidaire products.

Installation wasn't horrible, I like that the unit comes out of the shell. Looks nice, works very nice too. Once the house got cool, I keep it on auto and it does the job. I even bought a second smaller unit for my bedroom.

At the time I chose to buy new window units for farmhouse, this was the best value at Best Buy. Trust me, I made a spreadsheet and did the math. Put one in the kitchen and one in our upstairs master bedroom.

Best buy sold me on the price but what I got was an incredible AC that blew cold air constantly and it was easy to install too. I like the remote feature that allows me to control the AC at a distance. The only thing I didn't like was the box it came in was flimsy, however it did not affect the operation of this AC.

This A/C did a great job keeping 1200 sq ft cool this very hot Summer. Installation was easy enough, and the noise level for such a large unit was more than acceptable.

    "Cool" Air Conditioner

I brought the Frigidaire 15,100 air conditioner in July, 2016. I replaced a VERY OLD Fedders 13,500 BTU unit which had stopped working. I knew I wanted a larger unit because I never felt the 13,500 BTU unit adequately cooled my living room / dinning room / kitchen area. While I don't know the exact square footage, the space is pretty large. The Frigidaire 15,100 BTU fit the bill. It cools the space nicely, and it is not super loud. It's not quiet, but the noise level is tolerable. I can still sit and watch TV with it running and not have to rise the volume to hear over the air conditioner, well maybe just a bit. Thus far I am happy with the unit's performance. I've only used it this summer, though, so time will tell. This spring I remodeled my kitchen and replaced all my mismatched appliances with stainless steel Frigidaire appliances. So far I am pleased with them, no problems, therefore I'm not anticipating any problems with my new air conditioner. I didn't install the unit myself, my contractor did, so I can't comment on how easy or difficult the installation was.

Unit is doing a great job of keeping our multi room home cool. We have over 850 square feet divided into 4 rooms that all stay cool, even during the hottest parts of the day. It's quieter than our previous unit, but not silent. Remote control is easy-to-use and we like seeing the temperature on the remote. It was pretty easy to install, but requires more than just setting it in the window and turning it on. We're pleased with this ac unit.

This is not the quietest a/c on earth, but that's not what one expects in a 15,000btu unit. It's a big machine that makes cold, and it does it effectively -- and for its size it's fairly quiet. This replaced for us a 12,000btu Samsung that was probably close to 10 years old, and it's quieter and much more efficient than that one. The slide-out chassis made installation a relative snap, I took my time and did lots of sealing around edges and a second layer of baffles/window seals since we leave the unit in year-'round. I managed to do it by myself, but would recommend two people for moving and installing one of these -- this is a big, heavy unit.

This unit cools a large room quickly and it's very quiet. I also like the remote and the eco setting that turns the unit off when it reaches the selected temperature to save energy.

This thing cools down my entire 1,600 sq/ft 2 bedroom apartment in about an hour! Remote control is pretty neat. Just beware, it is fairly loud, even on low, and it's really, really heavy. Maybe not ideal if you plan on putting it in and taking it out every spring & fall.

While this machine is technically a "room" air conditioner, it seems quite sufficient for our son's older two-story home at around 42 degrees latitude, central southern-peninsula Michigan. It was reasonably priced, quiet enough, easy to install (it just drops in), and is on the lower end of operating cost for a 120v unit of this configuration.

Biggest window unit I could get for a 110 v plug. Easily keeps 900 sqft cold. Good remote, easy to use functionality, easy to install (with the window support of course, this sucker is heavy).

We just had our first chance to run it during a heat wave. It hasn't tripped any breakers yet and cooled down the whole first floor of our house ( about 800 sf) I was concerned about the included brackets not being sufficient for the unit, so I added a center bracket just to be sure. When the unit is removed from the frame, there is no bottom to it, so once you have the frame installed you need to complete assembly or you will have a giant opening to the outside. The unit weighs about 100 lbs, so use assistance to lift into the window. After installation, the brackets don't seem to take a lot of load, so most of the weight seems to be held by the window and frame.

I put this in my great room which is about 500 sq ft. This a/c blasts and cools off the entire first floor. I have a somewhat open floor in a center hall colonial. It is very heavy. The only thing that I don't like is the the bugs from outside make their way in through the small openings on the sides and bottom. I bought clear insulation tape (Frost King brand) and sealed it. It's clear like packing tape, but easy to remove from the window trim. I do have central air, but I don't like to use it. This is simpler for me and more cost effective.

This little unit can really put out some cold air production. Cools down an large room 500-600 Square feet in not time at all. Not to noisy on the lower setting but the higher settings where it's really working it will be cause to turn up the TV. There is an energy saver function and one where the remote can control can serve as the point of reference for cooling. In other words it will cool down to the temp at the controller as opposed to the temp at the unit. All in all I'm very satisfied with this unit.

This air conditioner is keeping my whole house cooler 1700 sq ft. I have it in my upstairs master bedroom, which I leave the door open for my dog. It keeps bedroom at 68-70 even on our hot 95 days and the rest of the house at about 75. It is time consuming and a little complicated to install, but this was first time hubby was installing a window air conditioner. We have had portable air conditioners in the past that were higher than 15000 btus that did not cool anywhere near as well and cost more. Extremely happy with this purchase!

Required a new ac since 15 year old panasonic stopped cooling properly. Wait for a lower price. Cools quickly and its obvious frigidaire is producing quieter units. My 2014 frigidaire 8000btu unit is noisier.
