- Answer I am like you-many do not want it. Yes can turn it off but if you have dedicated water "valve" to the fridge...keep a line connected to the valve at least...so you can test the valve once + awhile in a bucket...Know that this is another hole in an otherwise insulated unit. Ug!

QuestionHow long does it take to make ice after installation? It's been over 3 hours and still no ice.

- Answer Found the first time after hook up it took a long time to make the first batch of ice. After that it became quicker, but it is slower than our last refrigerator. It also doesn’t make a lot of ice at a time. Eventually the bucket will fill up.

QuestionCan shelves be removed from freezer ?

- Answer The freezer has drawers which can be removed….but then you would only have bottom area for storage…I wouldn’t recommend removing them as they are great for organizing freezer items

QuestionWhen you open the doors, do the hinges swing out beyond the width listed for the refrigerator. It looks like the actual width would be increased if the hinges swing out a bit once teh door is opened. Does that question make sense?

Question1) Even though I set the temperature to the highest possible setting at 43 F, my fridge is still cold enough to freeze my milk and turn my celery into a popsicle. Any tips for temperature control?

- Answer We are in similar situation. Here's how it will be: 1. You will have the needed ~1-2" on each side for circulation. 2. You will be able to open the door at 90 degree angle to fridge. 3. You will not be able to pull drawer out near door near wall unless you remove the bottom "shelf" on the door. 4. You need to make sure the drawer does not rip the door gasket (rubber) near that drawer near the wall.
