A:Answer Yes, mine just broke because the compressor was running all the time, but if the compressor is HOT, that means it's doing its job because to make extreme cold in the compartment, heat has to be transferred elsewhere and the condenser coils and fan are supposed to provide the cooling. As long as it's cold in the compartment and freezer, it's running fine, but the the compressor is going to give out eventually running all the time, which this model seems to be known for.
