Scroll up in this very Q&A section, and a Frigidaire rep gives the OPPOSITE answer and lists the part number for the add-on Garage Heater assembly. I found similar positive comments on a famous name online retailer site and a big box hardware store. Theres even a YouTube install video, too. The part is very inexpensive, and Yes you will need it. We live in Florida and put a space heater set at 60 deg F next to our new FFTR1814. Why? It will not cool properly below 55 degrees F ambient, and this can cause food spoilage or worse, food poisoning. Our space heater cost us $99. The add-on Frigidaire part is $26 retailer. Frigidaire needs to get their data together on this, rather than just reading back something from the owner's manual. Because I found 5 customer comments and one Frigidaire support comment stating that the add-on garage heater element fits and is compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Good Morning Garagefrig! The refrigerator FFTR1814TW should not be installed in an area that will drop below 55°F or rise above 110°F. There is not a garage heater kit available for this refrigerator. –Thanks!-
