“The fridge is quite loud. It does shut off, but it’s loud enough to be heard in the bedroom. Is this normal? I also found some water leaking from the vent openings in the back. Is it normal? Both set to “recommended” cooling setting.”

yes it does run louder than my last one, which from other reviews i saw before buying it seems normal. there should be a tray in back that water collects from the defrost cycle, if any. more collects from a higher humidity areas. if its leaking from some other place, i would ask if you had a ice maker. if not you might want to call for service

However, there is not a certain decibel level that can be provided to you.
