The 5303918301 kit doesn’t fit because this model is designed to operate in cold environments without one. • A:Answer Not common in my experience. Our last garage ref, also Frigidaire, lasted 35 years and still ran ok when we replaced it. Just the magnet seal on the doors was not holding anymore so the poor thing ran with a door open a crack all the time. And the motor still ran for a while like that.

• A:Answer Hello, Rayray. We appreciate your inquiry. This model uses a mechanical arm (bail arm) to detect when the ice bin is full. When the bin fills, the arm is pushed up, triggering a switch that stops ice production. As the ice level drops, the arm lowers, and the ice maker resumes production. Please know that the ice maker should produce 2 to 2.5 pounds of  ice in a 24 hour period. We hope this information helps! - Christi
