Q: QuestionI have a small room that is 143 sq. ft. Will this be too overpowered for my room? It says it covers up to 250 sq. ft. but is 6000 BTU too much that the compressor will turn off too soon?

• A:Answer NO. It should not be overpowered for your room. You can change the function (hi/low) and the temperature. One of the bedrooms we had this unit was small and it was perfect.

Q: QuestionWill Best Buy sell the 150 sq. ft. model of this unit? I see on Frigidaire's website that they make this same unit but with just 5000 BTUs. I would prefer the 5000 BTU model (being that I have a small room) and would prefer to get it at Best Buy.

Q: QuestionI would like to get a window ac unit that automatically cuts off when it is not cooling, like the central heat and air conditioners. Does anyone make this kind?

• A:Answer Hello, Peggy. The unit will run in energy saver(eco) mode when powered on each time, if last shutdown is in cool or energy saver(eco) mode. In this mode, the fan will continue to run for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 90 seconds at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. • A:Answer Just pop out the front grill. Take the filter off and wash it in your sink or with your garden hose, dry the filter, put it in the unit again.

Q: QuestionI bought this unit a few weeks ago. When left RUNNING on "cool" mode sometimes i will come back into the room and notice it has switched to "Eco" mode automatically. This is undesirable! Is the unit defective ??

• A:Answer I chose not to use the side extensions at all. I positioned the unit to one side of my window and filled the inevitable cracks with thick spongy foam. I bought a 1 inch thick foam board at Lowe's and custom fit it to the other side with additional foam to seal the edges. It's working really well.
