Q: QuestionA customer stated in the comments that the microwave could be replaced, separately. Answers to this question have not been definitive. Could you provide a definitive answer? May a replacement of some kind slide into the opening? Please and thank you.

• A:Answer Thank you for your question. For the 27″ Frigidaire built‑in Electric Wall Oven / Microwave combination unit, replacing just the microwave portion is typically not supported. The appliance is designed as a single, integrated unit — the oven and microwave share the same housing, mounting structure, and power connection. Because of this integrated design, there is no widely documented or manufacturer‑approved standalone microwave “insert” that can simply slide into the existing opening in place of the original microwave. If the microwave component fails, the more reliable option is often to replace the entire combo unit, or consider installing separate wall‑oven and microwave appliances for added flexibility. - Jessica
