There is not much installation involved. You basically have to take all of the Styrofoam and tape off of it and its ready to go. Make sure you read the manual. I usually don't but luckily I did. It says to leave on CO (continuously on) for the first few days.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it just plugs into a 110volt AC wall outlet. To save time I suggest you use the hose adapter so you do not have to empty the water container. I set mine up using a step ladder with two boards between the ladder and the counter top, had a slight slope toward the sink and used the hose to drain the water out. Worked great

The water tank would need to be emptied every day unless you buy a hose. A regular garden or washing machine hose attachment will screw onto it if you do not wish the internal water tank to fill up every day.

There are many pieces of styrofoam tapped to various pieces and places in the dehumidifier to prevent damage during shipping. You have to remove and clean the tape and pieces from the water bucket, put the bucket back and then you can plug it in and turn it on. Very simple. Takes 5 minutes doing this and reading directions.

You run it on this for 3 days then set it to the humidity you want to maintain. Check the filter periodically and rinse with water and put it back. This is an amazing unit for removing moisture/water. The container fills in 5 hours and then the unit shuts off until you drain the container. That is why I got the drain hose.
