• Thank you for your inquiry EC,the maintenance of your appliance is very important. The filter in model FAD301NWD does not need to be replaced but does need to be removed every two weeks based on normal operating conditions. It then must be washed and cleaned with water and dried before being placed back into the bucket. • When the filter needs to be changed a light on the unit will let you know. The directions say to remove catch basin, pull filter straight down behind basin and wash with water. Allow to dry, insert, and resume dehumidifying. Very easy and economical.
