“how well will the unit do if i port the exhaust out into the attic , i want to put this in a media room with no windows and it sets over the garage . I dont want water running down the backside of the drywall causing mold issues ??”

If you vent to attic, try to add hose to get near outside opening. Not a real good idea to dump all that moisture into attic. I've done it, no damage, but not best practice.
