“Hi, I just got this unit 2 days ago and we connected as indicated per the instructions, however we are experiencing some leaking on the bottom, is this normal. How can I prevent the leaking?”

I had the same issue the first couple of days...it depends on what setting you put it on. If you use dehumidify or another setting you must attach a drain on the bottom in the back. If you are using cool...MAKE sure the black plug on the back of the unit is closed. When I removed my unit from the box and set it up I did not realize that that plug was not plugged up and thats why it leaked. Since I put the plug in I have had no problems. Hope this helps :D
