My window opening for a sliding window accommodated the 7" x 28" plastic receptacle for the exhaust tubing. I had to fill in a little bit with foam. There is an additional 20 inch or so plastic piece for a wider opening which I did not use.

The window you have is fine for the exhaust hose. The hose is flexible and maybe 10 inches round. This is not a window a/c unit. This is portable. You can use it in the room you are in, unplug it and move it to another room in seconds. It is super easy to use and move around to anywhere you need to be cool.
