• Yes you can, we have ours right up against the screen. You close the window up to it to hold the end piece in place. Works perfect!

• Yes you can vent the air flow through the screen, A kit comes to install vent through window. The only question I had was for the condensed water run off. It can be sent to a container if you can't send it outside. That is what I did
