• Yes. The remote is easy, but the face of the unit has a touch pad that will control mode and also a temperature increase or decrease. It is user friendly and intuitive. I liked the first A/C unit so much that I bought two more to replace older window models.

• YES! as you can see on the product picture it has a buttons comes with it where in you can control it without the remote make sense!
