At the beginning I was hesitant to buy this unit but after I bought it and installed myself was so easy and it works very good. I have no complaints for this unit it cools my room fast and very pleasantly. I'm so happy with this unit. I strongly recommend it. No doubt about it.

Absolutely the best in its class! Has Energy saver, remote sensing, cool mode, econo mode, sleep mode, Auto fan, 3 speed, remote control, front panel controls and viewing screen. One of my big requirements is low DB's. Runs nice and acceptably quite! I bought 2 of these 8,000 btu units and 2 of the 6,000 btu units. Not a disappointment!

So my rv ac unit went out and I'm in the desert so as a quick replacement I installed the frigidaire unit. Even with the sun heating the metal exterior and outside temp being 100 plus this unit can turn my 30 foot rv into a deep freezer. It almost froze my d*%# off, but now I'm good cause I'm wearing a parka in mid July. Roughly its 400 sq ft. So this unit is cool baby.

It work really well. So far it not noisy, it get my bedroom really cold. No complaints. I love it

It gets the area cool, but I have to keep it on the cool mode and high fan to cool the whole area. It is very loud in those modes. That is not my biggest issue tho. My biggest issue is the amount of sunlight that beams through the air vents every morning. That is just not ideal in a bedroom. Unfortunately, I bought another AC unit and it too does the same thing, tho not as bad. Older AC units did not have this sunlight issue. If I had seen this was an issue in any of the reviews I would not have purchased this unit. No one wants to return a 50 lb unit to the store, so hopefully this will help others avoid that process.

This is an excellent air conditioner that works fantastic and keep the room really cool. I even like the style and the technology! Also it's a good value for the price!

This is a replacement for an existed Frigidaire unit. Last one was well over 20 yrs old, so I thought i'd stick with the same brand. This particular unit uses the same encasement as the 6000 unit. I opted for the 8000. Does it look and feel cheaper, of course, every thing now a days does. Well see how long it lasts. It actually does sound a little quieter, and the output is just as good if not better than the original. Best Buy does have a matching price policy and honored my request. Very satisfied purchase.

Easy to set up and use, Gets cold quick and is quieter than my other A/C unit. Its a bit pricey but comparable to similar units with the same BTU rating. I bought a cheap walmart one that only lasted a year, replaced it with this unit, and right out of the box I could tell this unit was built more durable than the walmart brand one of the same ratings. The remote works great from the other end of my house and the filter is easy to clean

This unit is conveniently sized. It's big enough to cool a large room, but not too big. I especially like the handy remote.

Everybody gets cranky when they're uncomfortable, and my husband and I started getting testy at each other as the weather turned warmer... and warmer... until we hit levels of DON'T TOUCH ME DON'T LOOK AT ME. It was too hot, basically. We sat down and tried to figure out why we were so miserable and had started picking fights with each other over the littlest things, and it really came down to being constantly assaulted by humidity and heat. So we went to Best Buy and bought this. Best idea ever. The remote control shows the current temp and the unit shows the target temp, and they never really seem to get to the same, but that's more of a failing in our purchasing one with less power than our square footage required. Even so, we're keeping it on energy saver setting so it doesn't get too overworked, and it's SOOOO nice. at night, we turn it off energy saver and on to cool and it's wonderful. The remote is pretty intuitive even with all the buttons, and keeping the fan on low limits the humidity getting into our apartment. So WIN.

We live in a 175 year old home. This AC unit is more than enough to keep up with the demand for cool air. Definitely worth the money. Comes with a remote that controls it all and is nice when you don't want to walk to the window. Very easy to install and simple to operate with its display. Economy mode is wonderful.

I have used this air conditioner for two Los Angeles summers and it works great. I’m 5’3 and I was able to lift this and set it up by myself twice. I remove it during the cold winters. It is a little loud, but what do you expect? It’s also very cold when it blows the cold air. I love that I can vacuum the filter because it’s so easy to remove and then pop back in. I love it! This is a great air conditioner!

Cool really well. Easy to install. It is not noisy and the remote is handy.

This unit has plenty of power to cool down one or two rooms. It is kind of noisy but works great. The remote is convenient and the installation was a breeze.

THIS 8000 BTU Frigidaire Window AC works well, like the 12000 BTU I purchased from BEST BUY FOR MOST OF MY 1ST FLOOR. I would purchase these products again when their avg life ends 6-10 yrs or more. Since I was an electrician in my past i have whole house AC at 1/3 of power of a 2 ton central AC unit. Also in older homes a 2-3 ton central air blows cold air that is to heavy to make it to 2nd floor and use the furnace cold air return for hot air return but the hot air is on the ceiling not the floor, and this is a huge waste of $$. I found about 75.00 worth of electric supplies 20 yrs ago worth it to make my Pittsburgh Central AC by far the most cost effective AC unit in the tri state Area and Frigidaire is a major player in this.. Elec bill average 110-140$ a month. I can live with that :)

This works great for a large bedroom. The economy mode is not the best kicks off and on over and over. Larger unit in the living area is the same. But on regular settings works great.

So far, so good. Easy install. Cools our bedroom great. Comes with a remote. Has an Economical mode.

This was purchased for use in our very large master bedroom. It is more than we need, and does the job superbly. It does make some strange noises (tics and compressor starting at random times through out use and some others) that our older unit never made, but we are learning to get used to them. The cool sleep environment is worth all of those things. The remote is a dream. And there are so many useful settings. We would definitely purchase again.

Very well rated unit, came with easy to follow instructions and little accessories to make installation easier. I especially love the full-featured remote because it's sometimes hard for me to get within arm's length of the window. Has been working very well in 100+ outdoor temperatures.

Bought this recently, comes with all you need to install including insulation board, which was nice. A little on the loud side, but not overly so.
