Does this unit vent out of the rear? null

Yes. It can be configured to vent from the top or the rear however, you must punch out the openings in the sheet steel. The other problem I encountered was attaching the rear vent to the unit. The holes provided did not line up properly. I had to drill new holes in order to screw the vent onto the chassis.
