“Does this refrigerator keep ice cream frozen? I have a GE mini fridge but it does not keep ice cream and other things frozen. It makes ice cubes but ice cream turns into slush..It is not frost free nor self defrosting so this is not due to either of those features.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The 4.5 cubic foot frost free fridge on the coldest setting (Freezer) was -18 degrees Fahrenheit. I have since backed it off to the middle setting. The fridge part keeps everything 34-36 degrees which is perfect for having refreshing drinks. I had the 3.1 mini fridge which was not frost free and if you let too much ice build up it will not be able to keep things cold enough. I am really happy with this purchase. To reverse the door to open from the right was a breeze, everything is on the front no underneath bracket to deal with. Make sure to carefully examine the outside of the fridge when delivered since the first one I received had to go back for some pretty nasty dents. The return was pretty easy, I got my replacement fridge a couple of days later and BestBuy sent UPS to the house to pick up old one. Very good service on all ends. One last thing, I have my fridge in the house which is kept at 73 degrees so I can't say how cold things would be in a warm/hot garage.
