This store delivers second hand items and tries to
|Posted .I WOULD HAVE GIVEN "0" STARS IF IT WAS AN OPTION!!! You would think i would have learned by now, but this store delivers second hand items and tries to pass them off as new. I am disabled and I thought they were going to deliver the new and put in place and take the old one away. Now I know why they didn't do that. This is the 3rd time they have done this to me. I am attaching photos of what they delivered to me. I am extremely very disappointed in this store. I will definitely purchase from another stor and I suggest you do the same if you expect to get what you ordered and paid for.. This is not a shipping problem because the box was perfect.

damaged item
|Posted .Ordered this item to be picked up for my college student on move in day. The box looked like it had been repackaged. When we opened the box we understood why. The top was dented and there were scratches all over. It appears the damaged fridge was repackaged and resold to me like it was a new item. While we got a small percentage off it did not truly compensate for the inconvenience and my disappointment as a customer.

Refrigerator was okay - Best Buy was terrible
Posted .I own rental units and have purchased more major appliances than I can count. This refrigerator was supposed to be in an opened box, but in excellent condition. The reality was that the refrigerator was dented on three corners. This did not occur in shipping since the box was not damaged. There were dozens on dented but working units online that I could have purchased for half price. I didn't want to do this because my condos are very nice and I want to be proud of them. Best Buy admitted the error, but their suggested solution was for me to spend 2 to 4 hours to drive to my condo, re-box the unit, wait for the UPS truck to pick it up, then wait another week for a good unit to be delivered. That would be fine if my time was worth nothing. Refrigerator is working fine - It's not Whirlpool's fault, but I don't have the option to do a review of Best Buy.

A very good choice for a college dorm
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI was looking for a fridge that could easily accomodate my child and their roommate at college. There are lots of choices that are smaller but we weanted one that could easily hold some ice packs for those times when a headache / migraine happens. Virtually every smaller fridge has only a tiny place to make ice or hold ice packs but not both. This unit has separate doors for the freezer area and the cold area. That means it is probably larger than you would think compared to smaller units that simply create a "freezer" area at the top of the normal storage area. We have found that separate freezer and cold sections is a good thing since it keeps frozen things like ice trays or ice packs at a uniform temp. The opposite side of this choice though is the unit is going to be taller than the typical mini-fridge. If height is not at a premium then this could be a good choice for you if you do not want to sacrifice fridge space to a "freezer' area that can only hold the tiniest of ice trays (and which tend to have ice build up making the usable space in them even smaller.) The only factor to consider is the weight. It is heavier than most smaller mini fridges but not to the point 2 people cannot handle it easily. Noise has not been a factor for the past 2 weeks of constant use. I was glad to hear that since we did not want to replace it with a smaller one just so they could sleep at night. All in all we are very satisified with the unit. So why didnt I give it 5 stars you may wonder. Simple, I rate on a bell curve so my 4 is equivalent to most peoples 5. I find that folks these days are too quick to rate something 5 stars or 1 star without much consideration. That makes it very difficult to spot the truely exceptional items from the very good ones (or the truly bad ones from just the ones that are sub-par).

Nice small fridge
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have had this fridge for about a month. It keeps things cold. So far it seems like a good little fridge. The only thing I don’t like about it is the wasted space on door for cans. I don’t drink soda so it’s wasted space maybe they should come up with a way of either having the can thing or swap it out for more room for condiments, like different attachments. The other strange thing is that for the first 2 weeks it was very quiet. It’s in my bedroom so it was like a soft purr noise. Now however for what ever reason it’s louder. But I would still recommend it because it’s about the only small fridge out there that has a nice separate freezer. Can fit a good amount of stuff and is frost free. And energy efficient.

So far so good!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI don't really have any complaints about this item. It works both top and bottom (freezer ice cold, fridge easily maintains 40 degrees - or less if you choose). Spacious top and bottom boxes. An interior light in the fridge is a nice bonus. Best Buy asked me what side I wanted to mount the door so it would swing open left or right. I said, "open to the left." Needless to say, it came with the door swinging open to the right. Swapping the door with the kit provided took about a 1/2 hour. It wasn't a big problem, but you want to be sure everything is lined up perfectly or it could compromise the seal around the door. No problems on this end. I'm hoping the Frigidaire name stays true to it's good reputation. I've had this item about a month and a half and can't find anything wrong with it. I did buy a separate wireless thermometer to put in the freezer and fridge to monitor the temps in each box, and they are consistently cold!

Great fridge
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThere are cheaper fridge/freezer small combo's out there. However this one is frost free so you don't have to worry about de-thawing the fridge every couple of months. This fridge keeps my perishables cold and the freezer works flawlessly

Versatile and Roomy
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendLove this mini fridge! If that's possible. There is an adjustable shelf for creating more shelving space, and the side shelves are just perfection. I can fit a whole bag of ice, popsicles, and chicken breast containers in the freezer! I use this as a total fridge for one person and it's awesome.
Q: QuestionIs this actually "frost free" or is it "automatic defrost" and what is the difference?
Asked by Jeff.
- A:Answer This fridge is frost free. Automatic defrost means there is a button or knob that activates a heating mechanism in the unit that will melt away the build up. You need to empty the freezer to use this kind of mechansim and you need to manually drain out the water from the process. You should only need to do this every 12-24 months typically, depending on your climates humidity, your use and other factors. You typically do not find this on most units designed like this one (over/under). Frost free activates its defrost mechanism daily. The mechanism will warm up just enough to remove any frost build up (and the fan helps dry up the melt). You do not need to remove the freezer contents at any time and it is not affected by the process. This is the most convenient of the two, especially in a small unit like this one.

Q: QuestionDoes this refrigerator keep ice cream frozen?I have a GE mini fridge but it does not keep ice cream and other things frozen. It makes ice cubes but ice cream turns into slush..It is not frost free nor self defrosting so this is not due to either of those features.

Q: QuestionI was wondering if Best Buy has any services of installing it in my apartment if there is any assembly involved? Does the door need to be installed?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Best Buy will not deliver this refrigerator, but you can have it shipped and it will be delivered by UPS. They will not bring it inside per their insurance. There is no assembly involved. The door is already on, but it can be switched to open from the other side if need be. It's a two-person job to move it because it's 84 pounds.

Q: Questionwhat is the size of the just the freezer and does it have separate temperature controls for the freezer and refrigerator?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi Anonymous - thanks for asking about our Frigidaire Compact Refrigerator, model FFPS45B3QM. I see that you want to know the specific size of its freezer compartment and whether it has separate temperature controls for the freezer and the refrigerator. The freezer capacity of this compact refrigerator is 1.4 cubic feet, which is about the size of a mid-sized microwave. This area is great for storing large frozen family entrees, among other items. This space-saving refrigerator is great for that man cave, a backup refrigerator or for the college apartment! Temperature controls are separate. I'd recommend going into your retailer to get a closeup view so you can see if it's the perfect fit for you and your needs. We hope this answers your question, but if you have any additional questions, please do not hestitate to reconnect with us! Cheers!
