I contacted BestBuy customer service online, and a technician is scheduled to come and inspect the oven. The customer service experience has been good so far. However, I’ve had Frigidaire gas ranges with oven for many years without any issues, and after comparing this new model to my previous one, I’ve noticed a significant decline in quality. 1. Insulation Strip: The insulation strip around the oven is much smaller and thinner than the one on my old model. It’s poorly insulated, which could affect performance. 2. Knobs: The knobs are now made of cheap plastic, whereas the previous ones were stainless steel, which felt more durable and high-quality. 3. Display Screen: The quality of the display screen has also deteriorated. There is no clock display when the oven is on, and the touch buttons are less responsive and feel less premium than before. Overall, I’m disappointed by the noticeable decline in quality. It seems like Frigidaire has compromised on materials and design, which is frustrating considering how well my previous models performed.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Lz! Thank you for this inquiry and for bringing this up. It's not typical for the front panel and knobs of a gas range to become extremely hot during normal operation, especially if they're designed to withstand high temperatures. Here are a few things to consider: (1) ventilation: make sure your range has proper ventilation. Poor airflow can cause heat to build up around the controls. (2) insulation: check the insulation around the oven. If it's damaged or insufficient, heat could be transferring to the outer surfaces. Safety is important. If the knobs and front panel are uncomfortably hot, it’s best to stop using the oven and contact our customer support or a qualified technician for an inspection. ~Juan
