Cast Iron works well with this. I have been using cast Iron almost exclusively with this cook top and I have not noticed any scratching of the service.

These marks should be removed immediately after the cooktop has cooled using cooktop cleaning cream. Metal marks can become permanent if not removed prior to future use. Cookware (cast iron, metal, ceramic, or glass) with rough bottoms can mark or scratch the cooktop surface. We hope this information is useful to you. ~Sam
