MY UNIT IS MOUNTED ON A TABLE IN A HALLWAY & HOSE EXTENDS DOWN & AROUND TO FLOOR DRAIN IN LAUNDRY ROOM. VERY USEFUL BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT EMPTYING UNIT. NO HEAVY WATER-FILLED CONTAINER TO LIFT & CARRY TO SINK.

You flip open a little door on the side of the unit, screw in that piece I just mentioned and hook up your own hose. I did this and have it draining to my sump. Works perfectly. Set it up and forget about it.
