“RE: The "Automatic Shutoff" Does this mean that when the unit is left on (no pre-set time to run), will the unit totally shut off when the desired (set humidity level) is reached off and will turn on to keep set humidity level? I currently have a unit that totally shuts off only when I shut it off, so I have to go up and down basement stairs every day to turn it on/off or let it continually run; I'm a senior and can't go up/down stairs each day and also can't pay for high utility bills by letting it stay on constantly (on fixed income). Help please. Thank you.”

It will shut off when the desired humidity level is reached and turns back on automatically when level rise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This does turn on and off automatically if you choose that setting. When it reaches the desired humidity level, it will go off and then turn back on when it goes high again. I left it on all winter and it on went on when necessary.

We have ours hooked up with a hose, so we don't need to worry about emptying the bucket. If you do this, just be sure the hose has a downhill run - much more efficient.

My dehumidifier ran for about two weeks before it started to slow down. It barely turns on when the days are less humid. I have mine in the basement.

If you want to remove more moisture, Select 'CONTINUOUS' by using the humidity button or knob. After the dehumidifier starts, reset the control to the desired setting. Thank you.
