Fill the bucket with hot water (from the tap, no need to boil), and add about a half cup of Clorox. Let it stand for a day and the deposits should be mostly gone, if not completely. You can take apart the clear plastic top of the bucket (it snaps out) and scrub the deepest parts. It is normal mold buildup from standing water. I usually have to do that once or twice a season.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are meaning the collection container we have had this happen on other dehumidifiers we have had. We purchased a bottle of bleach spray. When we dump out the water , we give it s few shots of spray. It keeps the container clean, and smells good too.

You are able to clean the bucket with warm water and detergent. Should you need any additional cleaning tips, you are able to do so in the Use and Care Guide with the following link ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Edison/66129917125en.pdf on page 6. We hope this helps. -Thanks!-

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Doesn't the unit have a removable plastic tank in the bottom half of the unit (under the grill holding the air filter) which you lift and pull toward you (assuming you are standing in the front of the machine)? Please refer to instructions which should have been included with the machine (or probably shown online).
