whitehead, You will not be able to connect additional wiring to your appliance. I recommend you review your installation guide and your owner's manual on page 8 for any additional questions. ~Maggie
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I hooked up a condensate pump to the dehumidifier. The pump had wires for the safety switch, but after reading info online, it's not needed. JUst setup the pump and test that it works by filling it up with water and then hook it up to the unit with a small sized garden hose. Just need to make sure the hose is setup in a flat or down path, since the water being expelled by the unit is mostly gravity driven. Test it out for a few days and once it's working correctly, just check on it each day and it is good to go. I taped up the safety switch wires with electrical tape.
