I have Frigidaire dehumidifier. Used 3.7 amps on high. Unit now about 5 yrs old and still working great. Can get house down to 35% humidity. Longest running dehumidifier. Think because it only uses 3.7 amps on high and lower on medium speed. Wish they would make more on lower amps. Does not raise electric bill.

According to the specs, it draws 6.7 amps. I use a 15-amp circuit with little else on it and it works fine.
