My Fridgedaire Dehumidifier has a removeable plastic tank which can be removed by hand, and cleaned with usual cleaners. The tank can be removed and rinsed. Alternatively, use the plastic connector to connect a water hose to the collection tank for 24/7 continuous water removal to a drain or outdoors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Initially I poured Clorox into very hot water and let it sit for a day. That works fine, but doesn't get everything. It is possible to take apart the upper plastic pf the bucket to do the same thing and really get in there and scrub. I usually have to do that at least once a season. Doesn't take that long and not that difficult to do. This design has proven to be the best of all that we've had over the years.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem, we used baking soda and vinegar. Let that soak and scrub away the residue. It works well.
