Yes, the unit when full will beep 3 or so times and turn off until it is emptied and the bin replaced. Easy, you just pull it straight back at the handle and carry it outside or dump it in a bathtub, while the bin is out you may want to grab the filter and clean and replace that as well. If you'd prefer not to dump, consider hooking an outlet hose to it and run it out a window.

To remove the bucket from the appliance, pull from both sides at the same time. Once removed there is a handle you can use to pour the water out.
