Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The EC message probably means "Empty Container" which is referring to the collection bucket at the bottom front of the unit. The compressor does not come on because when the bucket filled with water, there is a float in the bucket which when it is forced up by the level of the water in the container, automatically shuts off the compressor to prevent water from continuing the enter the bucket and overflow. Just empty the bucket and put it back in the unit and the compressor should start working again.
