That's a great question, Dana! If at any time you want to return to the continuous mode, pressing the humidity button will lower the Relative Humidity through the 5% increments until the display reads "CO". You are able to locate additional information about the continuous drainage in the manual on pages 4-5. We hope this information was helpful to you. -Ciara
