You will need a wall outlet that is suitable for the three pronged plug. I did not use any separate grounding.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has a three-pronged plug so, yes, it looks like it needs a grounded outlet. Also, I found that, on a 15-amp circuit shared with a few other things, it tripped the circuit breaker. I don't know whether that's because it has occasional spikes or because the other items were drawing too much power. The specs say it needs 11.5 amps, so you might want to make sure there isn't much else on the circuit, or attach it to a 20- or 30-amp circuit. It's working very well now that it's on its own circuit.
