Questiondoes this require the drainage hose or does this exhaust the humidity out of the window vent?

- Answer The only time you need to apply the drain hose is if you are using the air conditioner in the dry mode. The dry mode is to remove the excess humidity from the room. We live in the Deep South where humidity is always a hundred percent we have not had to use the dry mode. Just maintaining the room at an average temperature has been sufficient.

QuestionHow long would it take to drop the room (20x16) temp from 90 to 70? Can it go below 70? and how energy efficient is this unit? Thanks!

- Answer A room that is 20 x 16 with an 8 foot ceiling is about 2,560 cubic feet. The Frigidaire has a fan which provides 241 cubic feet per minute of air flow. So the full air volume of the room would be exchanged in 11 minutes. Depending upon the humidity it would probably take about 30 minutes to drop the temperature from 90 degrees to 70 degrees.

- Answer It's pretty easy and you can adjust the height. I can still extend it like 5 to 6 inches more.

- Answer I would say no, it has to be vented to allow for the hot air to escape outside.

- Answer While mine is in the window with the 220 line, it can’t go in there. So I got a proper AC extension cord at lumber yard store to connect it to the correct outlet further down the room in what for it would be a dedicated outlet.
