Can anyone tell me, say in eighths of an inch what the actual height is?”

I own it and it is 10 7/8" from counter top to top. However, this is a cheaply-made item (e.g., screws are drilled at a angle, corners don't line up perfectly), so there's bound to be a good deal of variation from unit to unit. I think the height is perfect because it allows just enough room for my tablet PC (with kickstand) or a stack of cookbooks on top underneath the upper cabinets.
