“The black plastic drain fitting on back of unit is NOT threaded correctly for standard garden hose. This is an OEM/Supplier Quality Failure. The thread profile (pitch, flanks, and crest) are incorrect, and the thread major diameter is incorrect (undersize), and therefore the garden hose (new) will NOT mate. See attached photos. Please e-mail me for my mailing address, so that you can send me a correctly threaded drain hose fitting. Otherwise, I will return this Frigidaire unit to Best Buy and buy another dehumidifier from another OEM.”

That's not a standard size garden hose in your photo. Meaning the hose pictured has a metal end that is smaller then standard size. You need to purchase a standard size hose any length you need (it will have a standard size connector).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can buy a garden hose by feet on Home Depot, get 2 or 3 feet of a 5/8" one. After that just stick it on the back, you don't need to use a garden hose male connector to set it up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The fitting is plastic(PVC), so if it is cross-threaded, you will need another one. It is important to start the threads correctly, but it does work on a standard garden hose fitting.
