The end of the drain hose can not be higher than the outlet on the unit. It is a gravity drain. You should try draining it to a bucket. Of course you will have to watch it to keep it from overflowing. Another option is to get a small condensate pump then it would pump it up and out the window.

Please try again later.Did you use Teflon tape on the treads the hose attaches to ? often times the cheap rubber gasket that come with most hoses don't stop leaks by themselves. Guess the manufactures figure it doesn't matter for outside use, and don't care if someone needs it for inside use. Home Depot has Teflon tape in the plumbing section it's a small blue and white colored round plastic dispenser. Put 5 wraps around the threads in a clockwise direction (otherwise it will unwrap as you attach the hose).
