“Does this ac need freon and if so how can it be replaced?”

• If the Freon gets low any hvac service tech can add freon

• Freon is not really used as a refrigerant coolant anymore because it contains CFC's that are harmful to the environment and ozone layer. That's not to say that the unit does not use another form of chemical refrigerant that might need to be replenished. Contact Frigidaire directly. I looked in the instruction manual and it provides no instructions that refrigerant needs to be replaced, only that the filters need to cleaned with soap and water or vacuumed as needed.
