Q: QuestionAre the control buttons backlit so you can see them when the kitchen lights are dim or off? Our Samsung SMH1816 are not so the buttons are impossible to use without turning the room lights which seems lame for a fully automated high end appliance.

Q: QuestionI currently have a Frigidaire Gallery Model FGMV174KFA at broke and i am looking for the same exact one. The closest I can find is Model FGMV175QF, will this fit in the same space as the one i have?

• A:Answer I just replaced a first generation 1.7cf Gallery wth the current 1.7 cf Gallery. Different mounting bracket configuration and cabinet hole locations are different. The volumetric fit is virtually the same. Font panel designs are similar requiring no learning curve.

Q: QuestionWhen I push 30 sec cook, the vent/fan does not come on. Why do you have to push the fan button for it to work? Wouldn't it be automatic??

• A:Answer The Vent Fan is NOT part of the microwave. That fan is to exhaust what is being cooked on the range/stove. Whatever needs to happen to make the microwave work is completely independent of the Vent Fan. Hope this helps:)

• A:Answer The product literature recommends that the TOP of the microwave be 30" from the top of the stove. So the bottom of the micro will be slightly more than 14" from the stove top. That should fit most standard kitchens that have a shortened cabinet above the stove - but measure yours to make sure. Mine is about 3" higher.

Q: QuestionWhat does Auto Defrost mean? Can u defrost without entering a weight? For example, If defrosting bread, possible to enter just the time. e.g. 10 seconds, and then push Defrost button?

Q: QuestionWill the Frigidaire FGMV175QF OTR Microwave fit in my existing space?Outer dimensions of existing LG, (being replaced) are listed as 29 15/16" W x 16 7/16"H x 16 15/16" D. New FGMV175QF dimensions are listed as 29.94" W x 16.38" H x 16.19" D. However, cutout dimensions for new unit are listed as 30" W x 17" H x 14" D, which may be too much (unable to measure accurately with old unit still in place). Trying to be certain it will fit. Can this question be referred to Frigidaire or BestBuy installers? Thanks
