“I'm not totally clear on the answer about the sound of the beeping when the Microwave is done cooking. Does it keep beeping until you remove it? I have GE now and when it is finished it says ready and then stops beeping. Does it do that?”

The microwave oven will BEEP non stop VERY loudly until you get your food out. It will annoy you so much, you will consider taking the front panel off to remove the piezo buzzer. it is unnecessarily loud - and won't stop even if you open the door it keeps screeching, and the stop button will not stop the buzzing. the worst microwaves are Frigidaire they don't care if you wake up the whole house - screw those who are sleeping they dont really need to sleep
