Return the fridge. The temperature should have worked within hours of having it installed. Just to save you the trouble, do not consider Frigidaire a good fridge company in general. Their stuff breaks often. We have had the same fridge you purchased for a year now and I am literally on the phone right now with them on hold which is a year later and it is still breaking. We have had different service repair companies out here several times dealing with stuff breaking on this fridge throughout this past year. Return it and get a different one from a different company. If you do not want to go through the trouble think about this: Each time something breaks you have a goofed up fridge for 4-5 days each time they say they will send someone and then if they have to order a part you have to wait another week to 2 weeks. Then add the days you have to take off to be present when they come to see the fridge each time. It translates to just get a different fridge with a different company.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had food in an ice chest with ice packs and put it in at night. It did take about 12 hours to reach temperature. Honestly I think it's unrealistic to expect and electric unit to heat up or cool down instantaneously. The thought would not have occurred to me to imagine I could put food directly into a brand new refrigerator and I have bought 5 or 6 in my lifetime, some very high end.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Something must be wrong--mine reached optimal temps in 4 hours, with food in all the compartments.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i haven't checked the temp for accuracy but appears to be normal as advertised
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, something is wrong. At those temps after 6 hours, it seems that your fridge is not working at all. We got ours on a hot day in the middle of summer, and once it was set up and plugged in, it only took 2 hours to get down to temperature. Either your fridge is broken or it is not turned on. It is possible for it to be plugged in and not turned on. You can turn it on from your main menu. Another possibility is you blew a fuse in the outlet that it is plugged into. Do the lights go on when you open the doors?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hmmm. Our fridge was at working temperature in about 2 hours. No problem with the food. In fact, I remember 20 years ago when we first bought our last refrigerator and it took 2 DAYS to cool.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does take about that amount of time to bring both parts to the set temperature. We just replaced an old GE model with a new LG, and we knew what to expect from previous replacements. We used insulated food bags with blue ice packs we had stored in the freezer to keep everything as cold as possible during the transition, which worked well.
